No political parties operate at the territorial level in the Northwest Territories.
All members of the Assembly are elected as independents.


                                                        Nunavut 

There are no political parties in Nunavut. Members of the Legislative Assembly are elected as independents and choose the Premier and Cabinet from among themselves and govern by consensus.
